4th of July Parade — Float Details!

June 30th, 2009

Hi friends!  Everyone is invited to join us for our “Come Grow With Us” float THIS SATURDAY, July 4.  Here’s what you need to know:

– Decorating:  Friday from 9-10 AM, back lot of Church.  Thanks to Dave Hansen for loaning us his truck & flatbed.  Bring any flowery decorations that would make others think of vibrant life and spiritual growth!

– On Satuday July 4, we will meet BY 10:00 AM in front of Carolyn’s house — 74 Hillside Avenue (between the RR tracks and Red Road).  There you can get your T-shirt and change into it, as well as do face-painting.  Hillside Ave will be closed to traffic, so plan ahead for where to park to get close to Carolyn’s; we’ll figure out a system to get everybody back to their cars afterward!  The parade starts at 10:30.  Bring one folding chair per family and some water bottles/snacks/seat cushions.  Some of us will be riding, some walking, and we’ll trade off.  The cell contact # for Saturday morning is: 862-579-0441.  Any questions beforehand, call the Church office or e-mail pastorwendolyn AT gloriadeichatham DOT org.

Service of Grieving and Healing

May 5th, 2009

Easter lilies and candles help us remember those who rest in God's embrace.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; God’s mercies never come to an end;

they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”   — Lamentations 3:22-23

For all those who have lost a loved one, we pray for comfort and in gratitude for our shared pilgrimage here on earth.  May all of creation be blessed by new life through God’s salvation!
